Ann B. Wall

d. June 14, 2023

Ann B. Wall of Paxton, MA passed away peacefully at home on June 14th, 2023.

Ann was born Elizabeth Ann Beach to the late James Gordy & Florence (Collins) Beach in Hebron, a rural town on the Eastern shore of Maryland. She was a graduate of Hebron High School and Goldey Beacom Business College in the executive secretarial program. She worked for the Social Security Administration before raising a family. Many years later she worked as an office manager and receptionist for doctors' offices and other small businesses.

She was pre-deceased by her siblings James G. Beach Jr. and Donald E. Beach, husbands William Floyd Sherman and William Wall, and close friend Robert J. Hall.
Ann is survived by her two sons: William G. Sherman and wife Sarah Siegel, Bryan L. Sherman and wife Emily Herzig, and two grandsons Michael W. Sherman and David B. Sherman.

Ann was a member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton for 50 years, serving as Deacon and Senior Deacon several times, as well as numerous other committees and study groups.
She served actively on the Paxton PTO, Cub Scouts (as a Den Mother), Little League (as an assistant coach), Paxton Women's Club, and The Order of the Eastern Star of Masons, among other volunteer groups and positions.

Ann always cared deeply for and was devoted to her family, loved ones, and friends. She had the keen ability to make everyone of all ages feel special and protected. Ann remembered every detail about everyone she ever met because she truly cared about people. A lifelong lover of the ocean, she enjoyed spending time at the beach, eating steamed crabs, and watching baseball and football.

Interment was at a small private ceremony at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
The family is holding a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the First Congregational Church of Paxton, followed by a collation meal.
