Ann K. Paterno

April 1, 1949 — January 24, 2025

HOLDEN - Ann (Turner) Paterno passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the age of 75.

Ann was born in Newton, MA and she grew up in Middletown and Rumson, NJ. She moved to Little Silver, NJ and she was an active member of St John's church where she sang in their choir. For the past 17 years she resided at Holden Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center to be closer to her twin sister, Beth.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Kathleen (Irwin) Turner and Edward Turner of Rumson, NJ, as well as her brother, David Turner of Merchantville, NJ and later Holden, MA. She is survived by her twin sister, Beth and her husband Gil LaVergne of Holden, MA, her brother, Edward Turner, Jr of San Francisco, and her niece and goddaughter Emily Spenski of Pembroke, NH, as well as Emily's husband Chris Spenski and their two children Grayson and Paige. Those two children were the light of her life.

Ann had a real love for music (particularly 60's) which she shared through her singing and listening to live music with her friends at Holden Rehab. She also enjoyed the activities that included word games, and was known for her sharp intellect. She will be remembered for her kind and caring manner, her infectious laugh, and her great attitude.

We want to thank the staff at Holden Rehab for the great care Ann received there. They are like family. When she was asked if she was happy, she always responded "yes," and that was due in large part to the caring staff. Thank you!

A memorial service for Ann will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holden Rehabilitation Activities Fund, 32 Mayo Drive, Holden, MA 01520. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
