HOLDEN – Margaret (Ryall) Herbert, 77, of 198 Holden Street, died Saturday, May 29, 2004 in her home.
Her husband of 30 years, David B. Herbert, died in 1983. She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline M. and her husband Steven R. Carlon of Chelmsford; two grandsons, Jeffrey S. and his wife Erin J. Carlon of Cambridge and Joshua D. Carlon of Los Angeles, California. A brother, Philip Ryall, predeceased her. She was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England, daughter of Charles and Edith (Cook) Ryall.
Mrs. Gerbert was a purchasing agent for the Deptartment of Mental Health & Mental Retardation for the State of Massachusetts, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church and involved in many aspects of the Church.
Mrs. Herbert’s memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
