Ann (Lovering) Hunter

November 23, 1935 — June 21, 2017

HOLDEN - Ann (Lovering) Blasko Hunter, 81, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston. Ann was raised in Reading, the only child of Eunice J. (Albee) and Howard L. Lovering. After graduating from Reading High School, Ann proudly served her country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and working for the Department of Defense. She later followed her passion for art by attending art school. Ann and her late husband, Robert R. Hunter Jr. owned The Store House in Westborough, a used furniture and antique store, during the 1970's. This, along with auctions, flea markets and estate sales satisfied her love of antiques. After her retirement in 1982, Ann still enjoyed antiquing. She made her home with her late husband, Robert R. Hunter Jr. in Westborough. After retirement they moved to Naples, FL returning in 1997 to settle in Holden. While retired, Ann also pursued her love of drawing. She had several of her cartoons published in Greyhound Magazines. She truly enjoyed sharing her passion with her grandchildren, fostering their creative side through drawings and writing. Ann was an avid reader, loved NASCAR and the Patriots. She loved taking trips to Las Vegas and Foxwoods with her family and great friends. She loved to travel and had wonderful adventures in Hawaii, England, Scotland and Wales with her family. Social media played a large part in Ann's life the past few years. She found and reconnected with very dear friends from high school, art school and the military through vigilant searches on Google and facebook. Ann had made many friends around the world on Facebook. Her laughter and wit will be missed. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Hunter Jr. in 1993 as well as her son, Joseph H. Blasko in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Jean M. Goodall residing in Paxton with James Dwinell; her son, David Blasko and his wife, Terry L. (Foster) Blasko and their four children, Sierra, Ezra, Elsadora and Treyston of East Bridgewater; and her grandson, Bryan M. Goodall of Portsmouth, NH. Ann's family will find comfort in the peace she has now. Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
