Biography
WORCESTER - Ann (Feldman) Cashner, 97, of Worcester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Jewish Healthcare Center after a brief illness. She was born in New York City to Bernard and Helen (Schancer) Feldman and raised by her devoted mother Mina.
Her husband of 46 years, Sydney Cashner, died in 1990. She is survived by her two daughters, Roberta Silver and her husband, Ronald of Worcester and Paula Levine and her husband, David of Randolph. Grandmother to Laura Traiger and her husband, Richard, Daniel Silver and his wife, Keely, Michael Levine and his fiancée, Meghan and Jason Levine and his fiancée, Lindsey. She adored her 5 great-granddaughters, Shari, Julia, and Kayla Traiger and Isla and Belle Silver. She was predeceased by her brothers, Morris, Samuel and Ralph Feldman.
Ann’s devotion to her family was her greatest joy in life. She was so proud of everyone’s accomplishments; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Each and every one had a special place in her heart. She will be greatly missed by her large network of friends, young and old.
The family would like to thank the staff of Eisenberg Assisted Living, Jewish Healthcare Center and JHC Hospice team for the extraordinary love and care provided to Ann.
Ann was an active member at Temple Emanuel Sinai and its Sisterhood, a life member and volunteer for Hadassah and Jewish Healthcare Center
Funeral services will be held TODAY, FRIDAY, MARCH 18, at 11AM at Congregation Beth Israel, 15 Jamesbury Drive, Worcester. Burial will be at B’Nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road in Worcester. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Sydney Cashner Boy Scout Fund at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609 or Jewish Healthcare Center, 631 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609.
