Amy I. (Goulding) Antinarella

September 24, 1926 — December 26, 2012

HOLDEN – Amy I. (Goulding) Antinarella, 86, of Malden St., died peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Belmont St. Campus, after an illness. Born in Spencer on September 24, 1926, Amy was the daughter of Edward and Grace (Widdowson) Goulding and was raised in Spencer and Leicester.

Amy graduated from Leicester High School and worked as a glass cutter at American Optical Co. in Southbridge. She married Silveo Antinarella from West Boylston in 1948, and as a young married couple they moved to Malden Street in Holden where they raised their family and owned and operated Tyde Brook Farm.

She was a long time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Worcester. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and assisting her husband with a variety of chores on the farm. Amy was proud of her family and will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature.

Her husband of 43 years, Silveo Antinarella died in 1991. She leaves her daughter, Nona M. Antinarella and her husband Philip Crowley of Holden; four sons, Gary L. Antinarella and his wife Maryann of Holden, Edward A. Antinarella and his wife Shirley of Hubbardston, Michael J. Antinarella and his wife Jeannette of Holden, and George N. Antinarella of Holden; two sisters, Thelma LaSalle of Spencer and Donna Boquest of Florida; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Besides her husband, Amy is predeceased by three sisters, Grace McShawson, Priscilla Rosenquest, and Nancy Collins, and a brother, Edward Goulding.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service honoring Amy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 31, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
