HOLDEN – Eino A. Maki, 85, of Holden, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. (Lindgren) Maki; two daughters, Kandis and her husband Fred Tsuchiya of Minnesota and Karla and her husband William Scappace of Holden; a son, Jay Maki and his wife Cynthia of Holden; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Maki and Alma Letourneau, both of Holden. Four brothers and a sister predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, raised in Holden, and was the son of Ivar and Linda (Jokela) Maki.
Eino owned and operated Riverside Manufacturing since 1962, and owned rental cottages on Bass River, South Yarmouth. He was a member of the Boylston Lodge of Masons for 50 plus years and was a long time volunteer firefighter with the Holden Fire Department. He was also a member of the Finnish Heritage Society, the Holden Council on Aging and the First Baptist Church of Holden.
A memorial service for Eino will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 5th, in the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, is directing arrangements.
