Maureen A. (Macklin) Bjorkman

STERLING – Maureen A. (Macklin) Bjorkman, 65, of North Cove Road, died Saturday, November 14, 2009, in The Highlands, Fitchburg, after a short illness.
She leaves her father, Gordon Macklin and his wife Jeanne of West Yarmouth; a daughter, Lauren K. Bjorkman; a grandson, David Michael; and her many friends. Her son, Mark Bjorkman predeceased her. She was born in Clinton, the daughter of the late Barbara (O'Malley) Macklin, and lived in West Boylston before moving to Sterling 25 years ago.
Maureen was a 1962 graduate of West Boylston High School. She was a real estate broker for many years in the Sterling area. Previously she was a nurse's aide and ran her own business, Marlboro Trailer Sales. She loved reading, traveling to warmer climates, going to the ocean with her friends and spending time with her dogs, Baby and Honey.
A celebration of her life with a gathering of friends will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
