WEST BOYLSTON - Allyson C. (Edson) Gordon, 73, passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side on Friday, April 14, 2023. Born in Worcester and raised in Spencer, Allyson was the daughter of Philip and Claire (Julien) Edson and has resided for the last eleven years in West Boylston.
Allyson graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and later attended The Salter School in Worcester, where she concentrated in medical coding. She worked for over 20 years at the former Worcester Knitting Co. in Leicester. After attending Salter, Allyson worked as a medical coder at UMass Memorial Healthcare until her retirement.
She enjoyed traveling and seeking new adventures which included discovering the Caribbean Islands. She was a voracious reader and looked forward to discovering and perusing New England flea markets and trips to the casino with her husband Bob. She loved a good car show, an extreme roller coaster ride, and never missed an opportunity to break out in laughter at the expense of her good friends or family members. Allyson will be remembered for her generosity and love of animals.
She leaves her beloved husband, Robert S. Gordon; a daughter, Carrie A. Bisson and her husband, Andrew of Sterling; two stepsons, Robert F. Gordon of Worcester and Justin H. Gordon of Shrewsbury; a stepdaughter, Amanda Diaz and her husband, Wilfredo of Worcester; a brother, Philip Edson of North Carolina; a sister, Robin and her husband, George of Florida; three grandchildren, Leanne, Viviana, and Joseph; a great-granddaughter, Lylah. She'll also be lovingly missed her fuzzy friends, Molly and Missy.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Allyson's family from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, April 21st at the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. Memorial donations may be made to MSPCA -Angel at
