HOLDEN – Joshua Allen Perry, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in the Worcester Medical Center.

Mr. Perry was born and raised in Holden, the son of Allen and Judith (Ham) Perry. He was educated in the Holden school system and played Holden Little League/Babe Ruth Baseball, CRA Basketball and HY Soccer. Josh graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1991. He was particularly proud of his contributions as a four year member of the winter and spring track teams competing in the 100 yard dash, discuss and shot put. He attended West Virginia University and graduated from the University of Massachusetts (Stockbridge) in 1994 with honors. Mr. Perry was the successful owner of Perry Landscape Construction. At the time of his death, he was employed as the yard manager at Sansoucy Stone in Worcester.

Besides his parents, Joshua is survived by his sister, Cassandra Herlihy and brother-in-law, Christopher of Worcester. He will be greatly missed by his children, Kylie Marie, Peyton Joshua and Caden Nicholas, all of Worcester. He also leaves his paternal grandfather, Walter E. Perry, Sr. of Holden; maternal grandparents, J. Philip and Beverly Ham of St. Augustine, FL; aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends, including his former wife, Mandy Stone Perry.

He was a caring, concerned and helpful son and a treasured, loving and capable father. Meeting the needs of his children was THE priority in his life. He was thoroughly involved in every aspect of their lives closely monitoring their educational, social and emotional growth. Some of their most recent family adventures including coaching of Kylie's T-ball and first softball teams, an automobile trip to Florida and RV camping in the New England states.

Josh will be missed by his family and friends. He had an extremely gregarious personality and was noted for his quick wit, superb sense of humor and loyalty. Friends and coworkers "forgave" him for his passionate love of the NY Mets because of his equal fondness of the NE Patriots.
