WORCESTER – Alice White of Worcester, MA, passed away at home, January 10, 2021, of natural causes, surrounded by her sons. She was 96.
She graduated with honors from Classical High School and then Boston University, Class of 1946. She met and married the love of her life, Morton White, in November of 1946.
During WWII, she worked at the Division of Employment. After raising her family, she worked at her husband’s stores, Morton’s Dept. Store in Spencer, North Brookfield, Oxford and Barre, MA. They retired in 1995. She then helped out occasionally in her son’s store, Whitco Sales.
Alice was pre-deceased by her parents, Benjamin and Gussie Snyder and her husband, Morton (2008). She is survived by her sons Barry and William of Worcester and her daughters Marilyn and Sharon of California. She also leaves two granddaughters Sophia Miller and Marisa Takal of Los Angeles.
Alice enjoyed cooking, clipping coupons, bargain shopping, Miami Beach, watching movies on TCM, contributing to her favorite charities, and long rides in the country with her husband. She was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai, Hadassah and the American Society for Yad Vashem.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Esther and Margret as well as, her friends Chris, Brian, Franklin, Kay, Sam, James and Eneida.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, burial at B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Thursday, January 14th and Memorial Week will be private.
