Alice M. (Farrell) Macqueston

WORCESTER – Alice M. (Farrell) MacQueston, 84, of 38 Collins Street, died Saturday, November 13, 2004, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.

Her husband of 45 years, Harold J. MacQueston Sr., died in 1987. She leaves two sons, Harold J. MacQueston Jr. and his wife Carole of Paxton, William D. MacQueston and his wife Janis of Williamsburg, Virginia; two daughters, Ellen M. Adams and her husband Gary of Shrewsbury, and Judith A. MacQueston of Worcester; two granddaughters, Brittany L. and Callie L. MacQueston; nieces and nephews. A son, Kenneth B. MacQueston, a brother, Francis D. Farrell, and a sister, Eleanor M. Kane, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Domenic F. and Helen M. (O’Brien) Farrell, and lived in Worcester all her life. She graduated from St. Stephen’s High School in 1937 and was a member of St. Christopher’s Church.

Mrs. MacQueston worked as a sales associate for Marcus & Company in Worcester until her retirement in 1990. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and best remembered for her fun-loving spirit and great sense of humor.

The funeral Mass for Mrs. MacQueston will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16 in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston Street (Rte. 12), Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 15, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-9721.
