WORCESTER – Alfred O. Bergman, 67, formerly of Salisbury Street, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, in Clark Manor Healthcare in Worcester.
He leaves his son, Gavin Bergman of Knoxville, Tennessee; a daughter, Laura Bergman of Knoxville; a sister, Anne Anderson of Paxton; and a granddaughter, Sophie Rae Bergman of Knoxville. A sister, Elsie M. Smith of Paxton, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Oscar A. and Mary (Kapulka) Bergman and lived in Auburn, Paxton and Worcester.
Mr. Bergman graduated from Auburn High School and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He worked as a lighting salesman in both the United States and in Africa. He served as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.
A graveside service for Mr. Bergman will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
