WORCESTER - Alfred Levitt, age 88, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Jewish Healthcare Center.He leaves his beloved wife of 61 years, the “love of his life”, Esther (Resnick) Levitt; his sons, Richard Levitt and his wife, Ellen of Worcester and Allan Levitt and his wife, Robin of Sudbury; and his four grandchildren, Alexander Levitt and his wife, Stephanie, Morgan Catron and her husband, “Wilkie”, Chase Levitt and Marissa Levitt.Alfred was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Julius and Helen (Marlowe) Levitsky and lived most of his life in Worcester.He was in the wholesale plumbing industry as a Sales Representative for many years before retiring. Alfred was a longtime member of Congregation Beth Israel and its Brotherhood, as well as an associate member of the Jewish Healthcare Center.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 7th, at Congregation Beth Israel, 15 Jamesbury Drive, Worcester under the direction of Richard Perlman of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Burial will follow in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.Memorial Observance will be held until 4 PM on Thursday, June 7th at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
