Biography
PRINCETON/TEMPLETON – Alexandra T. Sargent-Colburn, 50, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 5, 2015. She was born in Philadelphia and had lived most of her life in Princeton before moving to Templeton in 2005.
She leaves her husband of 17 years, Dann D. Colburn; her parents, Jane C. (Cummin) Sargent of Princeton and Edward R. Sargent of Philadelphia; a brother, Samuel Sargent of Philadelphia; a sister, Caroline Sargent of Princeton; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Alexandra was a writer for many years for Ferrets Magazine and was published and well known all over the world. She was devoted to her family and friends. She loved to travel, spend time working in her gardens and was a friend of Bill’s. She will be sadly missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Alexandra’s family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A celebration of life for Alexandra’s will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Princeton, 14 Mountain Road, Princeton. A private committal service will held at a later date. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Operation Smile, a charity for children with cleft lip or cleft palate.
