HOLDEN – Albina G. (Grinkis) Ledoux, 97, formerly of Powers Road and a 54-year resident of Holden, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the Sterling Village, Sterling. Her husband of 62 years, Leo M. Ledoux, died in 1999.
Albina was born on July 4, 1914 in Worcester, daughter of Simon G. and Gertrude (Karpawich) Grinkis. She was a graduate of Leominster High School and worked at the Wickwire-Spencer Co. in Worcester for several years. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and the Friends of the Holden Council on Aging.
She leaves her son, Steven L. Ledoux and his wife Terri Ackerman of Concord and two grandsons, Benjamin J. Ledoux of Ypsilanti, MI and Seth M. Ledoux of Amherst; and several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Joseph and John Grinkis and two sisters, Elizabeth Grinkis Humphres and Margaret Grinkis Sanmartino, predeceased her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 30, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 31, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St., Worcester.
