Albert G. Orne

March 21, 1958 — July 2, 2012

SPENCER - Albert G. Orne, Jr., 54, of Main Street, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.



He leaves his loving wife of 15 years, Christine M. (Fogg) Orne; his son, Nathan D. Orne of North Brookfield; three daughters, Krystal Clark and her husband Justin of Barre, Gabrielle Muriel Orne and Emily Donna Orne, both of Spencer; his father, Albert G. Orne, Sr. of Spencer; two brothers, George “Skippy” Orne and his wife Sherri of Leominster, Robert Orne and his wife Cheryl; five sisters, Carol Jones of Fremont, OH., Sharon Orne of Clinton, Mary Wedge and her husband Ray of Spencer, Eva Jones and her husband Paul of New Braintree and Carla Martinez and her husband Ramone of Spencer; a granddaughter, Laura Orne; in-laws, Ronald Fogg and his significant other Susan of Shrewsbury, Donna Fogg and her significant other Dennis of Worcester; many nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends and associates.



He was born in Worcester on March 21, 1958, the son of Albert G. Orne, Sr. and the late Muriel A. (McGee) Orne, and lived in Spencer most of his life.



He served in the Navy as a cook on the USS Nashville. He loved his country and loved to display the American Flag. Albert worked for FLEXcon in Spencer for many years completing several training courses, was involved in the Hazmat Team, and won numerous Mylestone awards for his outstanding performances and dedication. He also owned and operated his own plastering business for many years. He was a very active member in Hillside Baptist Church in Spencer and at one time the Faith Bible Baptist Church in Clinton. His relationship with the Lord and his Church family was special to him. He volunteered numerous hours of his time building, maintaining, and helping with what was needed with the church.



He enjoyed bowling, air shows, fireworks, vacationing, and spending time with his family, friends and his beloved dog, Bradi. He will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father. Albert was a compassionate man with an infectious smile and big heart and was continuously recognized for his magnetic, cheerful, quick wit, joking humor, and genuine care and concern for others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.



Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Albert’s life by gathering for calling hours at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, on Sunday, July 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. A military and Christian graveside service will be celebrated at noon on Monday, July 9, and Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the Civil Air Patrol, Attn: CAP Cares, 105 S. Hansell Street, Bldg 714, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 (Forward to NER-MA-007).
