Biography
HOLDEN - Albert “Jack” J. Desens Jr., 91, of Holden died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Jack was born in Oswego, NY, the son of Albert and Anne (Peters) Desens and has lived in Holden over 60 years.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Nancy (Bucca) Desens of Holden; a son, Jack Desens and his wife, Alyson of Orleans; two grandchildren, Kelly McGrath and Mark Desens; and two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Dylan McGrath. Jack was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and went on to work as a Sales Representative at the Rand Whitney Corporation and Mass Container. Jack was a long time parishioner at Saint Mary’s Church in Jefferson. He enjoyed many family vacations at the beaches at Wells and Ogunquit, ME.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:30 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
