Albert J. Horsfall

HOLDEN – Albert J. Horsfall, 86, passed away with family by his side on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Liberty Commons in North Chatham. He was born and raised in North Adams, the son of Albert and Rose (Roy) Horsfall and had lived most of his life in Holden before moving to Cape Cod in 2014. His loving wife of 47 years, Clarice M. (Goguen) Horsfall, passed away in 2002. He leaves his three sons, Michael J. Horsfall of Athol, Paul A. Horsfall of Holden, David E. Horsfall of Westborough; his daughter, Anne Marie Lee of Harwich; his brother, Edward Horsfall of Washington; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Albert graduated from Drury High School in North Adams before enlisting into the U.S Army. He served as a corporal with 1945th Post Signal Company during the Korean Conflict. He owned the Photo Silk Screen Company in Holden for 35 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was an avid fisherman and photographer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 28th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Albert’s funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, June 29th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. A committal service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broad Reach Hospice & Palliative Care, 390 Orleans Road, North Chatham, MA 02650.
