HOLDEN, MA – Albert E. Fuller, Esquire, 73, died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family and friends on Sunday, December 5, 2004, after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ardith A. (Smoker) Fuller; two sons and their wives, Steven and Kellie of Littleton and James and Juliette of Wellington, Florida; a brother, John Fuller of Ware; four grandsons, Dylan and John J. of Littleton and Tanner and Peyton of Wellington, FL; two nieces, Martha Fuller Whitehill and Raynham and Amy Fuller Heffernan of Kingston.
Mr. Fuller was born in raised in Ware, son of Irving M. and Katherine (Malboeuf) Fuller. He graduated from Ware High School, Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire, and Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity serving as president in his senior year. He is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. After the service he attended the Boston University Law School, graduating in 1959.
Mr. Fuller was an Attorney for 45 years beginning his law career as a trial lawyer in the firm of Stobbs, Stockwell and Tilton. After several years he opened his own practice and then joined with Mel Glickman and Larry Barsky, to form the law firm of Barsky, Glickman and Fuller; later the firm was Glickman, Fuller and Sugarman. During the past several years he was the senior partner in the law firm of Fuller, Rosenberg, Palmer and Beliveau at 340 Main Street, Worcester.
Mr. Fuller was a member of the Holden Exchange Club, Camp Putnam – Worcester Fresh Air Fund in New Braintree where he was past president and presently on the board of directors. He was also a member of the Worcester County Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association He served as a court appointed conciliator in the Middlesex Superior Court.
Mr. Fuller enjoyed fishing, golfing and sailing. He so enjoyed his home on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, with his family for over 38 years. He was a member of the Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, New Hampshire, and the Meredith Yacht Club in Meredith, New Hampshire. For the past seven years he maintained a winter residence in Juno Beach, Florida, where he enjoyed deep sea fishing.
A memorial service for Mr. Fuller will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, in the First Congregational Church of Holden, 1180 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Camp Putnam – Worcester Fresh Air Fund, 141 Rutherford Road, New Braintree, MA 01531. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
