CHARLTON - Agnes June (Gallagher) Horton, 81, passed away at home, after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born June 1, 1936 in Worcester, she was the daughter of James and Agnes (Canty) Gallagher.

Agnes was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Edward Brosnihan in September of 1977. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Roscoe Horton in January of 2010. Agnes was employed for many years at Grafton State Hospital and later at the Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury.

Together, Agnes and Roscoe traveled all of the United States in their RV, chronicling their trips via postcards and photographs.

Agnes will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Paul Brosnihan and his wife, Judith (Barrett) of Charlton, Colleen Brosnihan of Paxton, and Brian Brosnihan and his wife, Judith (Harrington), also of Paxton; her brother, James Gallagher and his companion, Fran Fitzpatrick. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Sean, Jill, Eric, Ryan, Dan, Meghan and Brendan; her great grandchildren; Kylie, Delaney, Brody, Jaidyn, Kaiden, Jacob, Thomas, and Allison; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friend of over 70 years, Rita Swett. Besides her parents, Agnes was predeceased by her brother, Edward Gallagher.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Harrington Oncology Department in Southbridge, especially Dr. Christopher Siedler and his assistant Stacey, for their loving care and compassion.

Funeral services will be private. Burial for Agnes and Roscoe will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon. The family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the special care of Miles Funeral Home on Main St in Holden Massachusetts.
