Adeline B. (Dimasi) Madden

April 17, 1926 — August 13, 2014

FITCHBURG/PRINCETON - Adeline (DiMasi) Madden, 88, of Fitchburg, formally of Princeton, wife of the late William C. Madden, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014. Born in Boston on April 17, 1926, she was the daughter of Italian immigrants,

Francesco Anthony and Marie Paqualena (Shena) DiMasi.



The youngest of 8 children, she is predeceased by her sisters Rose, Philomena and Mary; and her brothers, Lou, Frank and Pat. Adeline is survived by her brother, John of Billerica. She leaves four children, William Madden and his wife, Karol of Mattapoisett, Michael Madden and his wife, Mary of Temple New Hampshire, George Madden and his wife, Hitomi of Berkley, California, and Madelyn Fleury and her husband, Ed of Manchester, Connecticut; and five grandchildren, Monica, Jeff, Alex, Rose and Kenji.



Addie grew up in the Charlestown area of Boston and later in Somerville. She often spoke of her life there and her family. She later moved to Methuen and married Bill and had four children. She then moved to Indiana for several years followed by spending 30 years in Laconia, New Hampshire before moving to Princeton. Addie loved to cook and could put on a feast for many. She was also a great gardener and had the most beautiful flower beds. She loved to crochet and created many blankets, all before her eye sight declined.



Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Prince of Peace Church, 5 Worcester Road, Princeton, followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery in Princeton.
