HOLDEN – Adele M. Halal, 74, of 112 Chapel Street, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves three brothers, James G. Halal with whom she lived, Donald M. Halal and his wife Jeanette of Holden and Nicholas Halal, II and his wife Wendy of Shrewsbury; a sister, Barbara E. Halal of Somerset; an aunt, Marion Jazzar of Montreal; seven nephews and nieces, Victoria Halal Walker of Medford, Michael Halal of Newton, Jeanne “GiGi” Halal of New York City, Nicole, Jenna, Anthony and Nicholas Halal, III all of Shrewsbury; a grandnephew and a grandniece, Michael and Leila Walker both of Medford. A sister, Effie M. Malooly, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester the daughter of Nicholas and Alice (Saad) Halal and lived 29 years in Holden.
Adele graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked as a sales clerk for Jordan Marsh, a department store in Worcester, for over 20 years until it’s closing. She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, its Lady’s Sodality. She enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing at Hampton Beach.
The funeral service for Adele will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 7, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
