WEST BOYLSTON – Adam Brennan of West Boylston passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 after taking his own life. He was just 26. He was raised and educated in West Boylston. He currently worked the shoe department at Bob’s Stores. How appropriate given his nickname of Imelda Marcos. Adam was full of life, always hugging people and smiling with an infectious laugh. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed nothing more than being with friends and watching a game. Shooting hoops was a passion; if only he could jump. We are sure he is able to dunk the ball now. He waited with great anticipation for Ghostbusters III movie to be released, but that was not to be. His creativity was evident in his rapping and exploration of music. His gift for play on words and poetry slipped out into his songs and spellbound us all.
He is the beloved son of Karin Brennan, loving brother to Corey Brennan of West Boylston and his father Donald Brennan of Southbridge; grandson of Steven Welus of Boylston; nephew of Nancy Baxter of Jamaica Plain; cherished friend and brother including John Camuso, Brian Shumway, Leo Carrasco, Kevin O’Brien, Sam Welch, Jarret Sorge, John Forsberg, Sarah Hammond, Kenny Morrison and many others.
His love of shoes will live on with his shoes being donated to Sole4Soul.org. Adam is also donating his organs to bring life and joy to so many others.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Adam’s family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral service celebrating Adam’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, at the funeral home.
