HOLDEN – Barbara A. (Cronin) DiNoia, 78, of Fairview Ave., died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving children on Monday, December 15, 2008.
Her husband of 55 years, Anthony V. DiNoia, died in January of 2007. She leaves her six children, Leonard A. DiNoia and his wife Susan of Holden, Michael J. DiNoia and his wife Linda of Centerville, Mary D. Martin and her husband Conrad of Charlotte, NC, Paul F. DiNoia and his wife Cynthia of Jefferson, John V. DiNoia of Fitchburg, and James P. DiNoia and his wife Kristine of Thompson, CT; 10 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Francis and John Cronin, and two sisters, Marion Parker and Helen Cronin, predeceased her.
Barbara was born in Worcester, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Frances (McCartney) Cronin, and has lived in Holden for 45 years. She was a graduate of North High School and was an active member of St. Mary's Church and served on various committees including the Altar Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 18th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Barbara will be held on Saturday, December 20th, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522.
