Scott Albert Johnson

May 25, 1959 — August 16, 2024

Roslindale/West Boylston - Scott A. Johnson, 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Boston. Born in Worcester, he was the beloved son of Doris A. (Dickie) and the late Albert L. Johnson. Scott spent his formative years in West Boylston, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and fond memories.

A graduate of West Boylston High School, Scott continued his education at Allegheny College, earning a Bachelor's degree that would launch his successful career in software engineering. His professional journey began at Simplex Co. and later led him to Amazon and, most recently, Pactolus Communications Co. Scott's passion for computer technology was more than just a profession; it was a lifelong pursuit that he eagerly explored even in his personal time.

In addition to his technological interests, Scott was an enthusiastic traveler and had been dedicating time to the renovation of his home in Roslindale. His love for dogs was evident to all who knew him, especially in his deep bond with his loyal companion, "Chevy," who will miss him dearly.

Scott's memory will be forever treasured by his lifetime partner, Brian C. Murphy of Roslindale; his mother, Doris Johnson of West Boylston; his sister, Kim Fisher of West Boylston; his niece, Sarah Foley and her husband, Ryan, of Charlton, along with their beloved son, Bradley. He also leaves behind many dear friends and colleagues who will remember him with affection and admiration.

In keeping with Scott's wishes, funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts, Suite 10, 30 Lyman St., Westborough, MA 01581, or to an animal shelter of one's choice.
