DEDHAM - Sandra Ruth Morse, 79, died on June 23, 2022 in the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center at NewBridge on the Charles where she has been living for the last three years due to complications of Parkinson's Disease. Sandra was born in Worcester Massachusetts, daughter of Philip and Marcia Morse. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Kenneth. Sandra graduated from Classical High School in Worcester in 1961 and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1965. Sheearned a Master of Education degree from Harvard in 1966 and later an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Boston University.
Sandra worked as a guidance counselor at Stoughton High School and later at Wayland High School. She then became Director of Field Placement at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and later the Director of Counseling Practicum Experiences at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College, as well as maintaining a private practice as a psychologist. She is fondly remembered by her friends, the many students that she mentored and colleagues that she worked with throughout her career.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 27th in B’Nai Brith Cemetery on St. John’s Road in Worcester. A memorial service will be held at the Interfaith Chapel in the Shapiro Building at NewBridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham on July 12, 2022 at two o'clock. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
