HOLDEN – Michael Richard Gallagher, 43, of 100 Moscow Road, Jefferson, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 26, 2008.
He leaves his wife of 2 ½ years, Rebecca L. (Bergeron) Gallagher; his father, James S. Gallagher and his wife Joyce (Hicks) Gallagher of Whitinsville; two brothers, James C. Gallagher and his wife Robin of Hudson, Ohio and Scott P. Gallagher and his wife Jean of Jefferson; three sisters, Deborah A. Mathon of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Lisa M. Fuller and her husband Stephen of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and Melissa J. Gallagher of Worcester; and nine nephews and nieces. His mother, Theresa R. (Brassard) Gallagher of Holden, died in 1998. He was born in Holden and lived here most of his life.
Michael was a 1982 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. He was a material handler for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Westborough for 18 years. Previously he worked in Worcester at area printing shops. He enjoyed spending time with his many nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 29th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A)., Holden. The funeral for Michael will be held on Tuesday, September 30th, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital Trust, 1 Autumn Street, #731, Boston, MA 02215-5301.
