Philip Carl Wahlstrom

July 12, 1940 — February 5, 2018

HOLDEN - Philip C. Wahlstrom, 77, died peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Holden Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Worcester, the son of Evald Olaf and Edna May (Akerlund) Wahlstrom.He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 25 years, Carolyn (Whitney) Wahlstrom, as well as his beautiful granddaughter, Marisa Victoria Wentzel. Philip will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Scott Wahlstrom and his wife, Justine of Jefferson and Todd Wahlstrom and his wife, Aysha of Whitingham, VT; daughter, Victoria Morris and her husband, Gus of Ashville, NC; sister, Karen Simonian and her husband, Edward of Mystic, CT; seven grandchildren, Cierra and Alden Wahlstrom, Zachary Nader and his wife, Charlotte, Samuel Nader, Sean Wentzel and his wife, Ashley, Ellis and Maeve Wahlstrom. Philip graduated from North High School in Worcester and went on to operate his family's business after his father. He owned and operated Holden Plastics/ New England Hardboard Co. for 25 years, retiring in 2003. "The Captain," as he liked to be called, had a love for the sea and cherished his time on his boat, Victoria. His greatest passion in life, however, was his family and being "Grampafuz" as he was known by his grandchildren when they were small. Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Memorial donations may be made to Mystic Seaport, Advancement Department, P.O.
