SHREWSBURY - Natalie Broder Cramer, age 94, died peacefully at home on August 15, 2021. Natalie was an intelligent, beautiful woman, who enjoyed life and her family.

Natalie was born in Providence, RI. After her family moved from Providence to Worcester, she graduated from Commerce High School. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Allen Cramer. They continued their romance while Allen served in World War II. They married in 1947 while Allen was attending Harvard and Natalie worked as a bookkeeper. When they started a family, they moved to Shrewsbury and stayed there the rest of their lives. When the boys were old enough, Natalie went back to work. She retired from the Shrewsbury Public Library in 1985, after working there for 21 years.

Natalie enjoyed dancing with Allen, including square dancing. She was an avid reader. In retirement, Allen and Natalie traveled the U.S. extensively, visiting all 48 lower states. But her greatest enjoyment came from raising her two sons, and then spending time with her two grandchildren.

Allen died in 2020. Natalie is survived by her sons, Michael Cramer and his wife Marsha, and Zak Cramer and his wife Susan; grandchildren, Melanie Cramer, and Matthew Cramer and his wife Kaylee; great-grandchildren, April Cryan and Logan Cramer; and her brothers, Everett Broder and his wife Lois, Sheldon Broder, and Seymour Broder and his wife Lisa.

The family would like to thank everyone at The Residence at Orchard Grove, OMAMA Home Health Care, and Salmon Hospice for providing care and comfort to Natalie in her last days.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 17, at B’nai B’rith Cemetery, 55 St. Johns Rd, Worcester, MA 01603, followed by a reception at the home of Michael and Marsha Cramer. Memorial Observance will continue at the home of Michael and Marsha Cramer on Tuesday, August 17, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
