Life Legacy
FRAMINGHAM – Dr. Michael “Mick” G. Weissman, 71, passed away at home March 5th, 2014. Born in Chicago, Michael was the son of Jack and Dorothy (Friedman) Weissman. Mick graduated from the University of Illinois, the University of Illinois Dental School, Tufts University and was a board certified periodontist. He practiced periodontics in the Boston area for 25 years. He was an avid New England sports fan and particularly enjoyed following the Patriots. Mick never met anyone he didn’t consider a friend and will be remembered by those who knew him as a caring and compassionate man. Mick had many interests including traveling, storytelling and spending time with his family. He leaves his son, Jack D. Weissman of Worcester; his daughter, Dr. Laura Weissman Hale of Kittery, Maine; and his former wife, Julie E. Weissman of Hampton, New Hampshire. Besides his parents Mick is predeceased by his brother, Sheldon Weissman. A graveside service will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is assisting the family with arrangements.
