Lois M, Love, 88, formerly of Rutland and Paxton, passed away September 2, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Lois was born September 16, 1927 in Holden, daughter of Bill and Julia Griffin. The family lived in the home right next to Griffin’s Garage, known to everyone in Rutland. Lois’ life was filled with family and very close friends. In October of 1945, she married Robert “Bob” Love in the Rutland Congregational Church following his return from the service during WWII. Together, they enjoyed an incredibly loving and wonderful marriage for 59 years until Bob’s death in 2004. Lois was a member of the Paxton Congregational Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Rutland Congregational Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Paxton Women’s Club. She loved skiing in North Conway, playing tennis and tole painting. After Bob’s passing, Lois truly enjoyed a friendship with Bill Lindquist of Paxton They spent hours together relaxing and providing companionship to each other. Lois is survived by her four children, Nancy, Blake, Kathy and Robin; and her sister, Norma Kallo. She was a proud grandmother of nine and great grandmother of 13. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bill, Bob and Dick Griffin She will always be known as “Nana” with a fond memory and loving inspiration.
