Surbridge - Linda L. (Glier) Simpson-Iqbal, 73, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Born and raised in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Louis M. and Emily (Daugherty) Glier.
Lynn was a graduate of Bowling Green College where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She went on to enjoy a career as a librarian while living in Florida. After relocating to Massachusetts, she lived in Framingham, Webster, and relocated to Charlton for six years before settling in Sturbridge. Lee was a nature lover and loved tending to her flowers. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed bowling, fishing, Nascar, the Red Sox, and dancing to the juke box with Dusty. Above all else, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandson, Liam.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her two sons, Brian Simpson of Brooklyn, NY and David Simpson of Apopka, FL; her cherished grandson, Liam Simpson; her longtime partner, Donald “Dusty” Harris, Jr. of Sturbridge; her two brothers, Stephen and James Glier; her extended family including Cheryl O’Meara, Cindy Coutsonikas, Michael Coutsonikas and the entire Coutsonikas/Lacey family; and her two precious cats, Sara and Quinn. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Dan Coutsonikas who died at the young age of 30, and her former husband and father to her children, Andrew “Skip” Simpson.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
