Worcester / Arcadia, CA — June E. (Nichols) Rybicki, 98, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Born in Upton, June was the cherished daughter of the late George and Grace E. (Austin) Nichols. A proud graduate of Upton High School, she was the last surviving member of the Class of 1953. She continued her education at Becker College and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as an administrative assistant in several area law offices before joining Wyman Gordon Co. Her professional journey continued after her move to California, where she worked for Aerojet General and Menasco Manufacturing.
In 1957, June married the love of her life, the late Julian Rybicki. They made their home in Arcadia, California, and shared 52 wonderful years of marriage until Julian’s passing in 2009. During her time in Arcadia, June was a devoted member of Arcadia Presbyterian Church, where she led a women’s bible study for five years. In her later years, she returned to Massachusetts and became an active member of Christ the Rock Fellowship C&MA in Worcester, where she found a loving and supportive church family.
June will be fondly remembered for her grace, warmth, and enduring faith. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Phyllis Nichols of Worcester; and her nieces and nephews: Tracy Potter, Ross Nichols and his wife Dawn, Gary, Alan, Juliana, and Stephen Rybicki. She is also survived by her great-nephew Matthew Potter and his wife Melanie, her sister-in-law Sandra Nichols-Loghry as well as her great-nieces Jennifer and Lauren Potter. She was predeceased by her brother, Irwin E. Nichols in 2015.
June’s family would like to thank the Visiting Angels for the wonderful care they extended to June; your attention and support was invaluable.
