HOLDEN – Helen L. (Whitehouse) Thomas, 94, of Holden, died Monday, February 25, 2008 in Holden Nursing Home.
Her husband of 48 years, Frederick W. Thomas, Jr., died in 1988. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Pamela N. Thomas-Nielsen and her husband Anker of Holden; and a grandson, A.J. Thomas of Worcester. Her son, Frederick W. Thomas III, died in 2003, and two sisters, predeceased her. She was born in Somerville, the daughter of George and Mabel (Bertram) Whitehouse, and lived in Lynnfield prior to moving to Holden 20 years ago.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holden. She loved taking care of her home and cats, sewing and indoor plants.
A memorial service for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1st, in the First Baptist Church of Holden. Burial will be private in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Women's Fellowship, 1216 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
