STUDIO CITY, CA / HOLDEN – Grant E. Forsberg, 47, of Studio City, CA, and formerly of Holden, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in his home.
He leaves his children, Simone W. Forsberg, Dagnall W. Forsberg, and Odin Woodward-Wen all of North Hollywood, CA; his former wife, Wanda S. Wen; his parents, Edwin F. and Beverly S. (Stanhope) Forsberg of Jefferson; two sisters, Denise M. Forsberg-DiMarzio of Jefferson and Nancy B. Forsberg of Seattle, WA; several nephews and nieces, including Michael & Melissa DiMarzio.
Grant was born in Holden and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He attended Worcester State College and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater in New York. He was the Co-Owner of Soolip Inc. based in N. Hollywood, CA, a manufacturer and retailer of handmade custom invitations, paper and lifestyle accessories. He was a former actor, producer and authored the book “Lost Boys Never Say Die”. Grant loved to cook and travel. He was an accomplished sailor, who leaves behind his sailboat, “Campagnon”.
He was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church and volunteered his time at the Highland Hall Waldorf School in Northbridge, CA, where his children attend. He enjoyed coaching basketball at the Studio City Recreational Center. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24th 2007 in Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street, Worcester. An additional celebration will be held in Southern California at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gale Free Library, 23 Highland Street, Holden, MA 01520, or to the Oakdale United Methodist Church, Scholarship Fund, 15 North Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden is directing arrangements.
