HOLDEN, MA – Emil “Tudor” J. Rendano, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Margaret (McDermott) Rendano; three sons, Steven Rendano and his wife Susan of Hudson, Robert and his wife Chiao of Holden and John Rendano and his wife Carole Meade of Denver, CO; a daughter, Diane Cross of Oakview, CA; a brother, Thomas Rendano of Trenton, NJ; a sister, Lucy Fontana of New Brunswick, NJ; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Spencer, Braden, Raymond, Leilani, Chelsea and Sabrina; and many nephews and nieces. Four brothers, Louis, Alphonse, Albert and Victor and a sister, Anna, predeceased him.
Emil was born in Garwood, New Jersey, the son of Emil and Ida (Vastano) Rendano and lived in Clinton Township, NJ for over 40-years before moving to Holden three years ago. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a salesman for SPT Electrical Company for many years before retiring in 1996. Emil was a former volunteer fireman for the Garwood Fire Department. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
