STERLING – Christopher Michael Curley, age 51, of Main Street, died at home on Monday, March 1, 2010. He was born and raised in Framingham.
He graduated from Marist School, Atlanta, was an athlete and a U.S. Airforce ROTC Cadet of the Year there. He was a college graduate and his career was in aviation sales and management. He was a multi-engine rated commercial pilot, certified flight instructor and was awarded the prestigious "Pama" award in aviation. He enjoyed off-shore sailing on his sloop, "Curlew". He was loved and admired by all who knew him and is sorely missed, including his New Jersey horses, "Star" and "Boomerang".
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry and Doris Curley and Charles and Mary Canning; aunts, Mary Curley and Rosemary Canning.
Surviving are his parents, J. Michael and Joan C. (Canning) Curley of Manasquan, New Jersey; his sister, Dr. Susan Curley of Point Pleasant, NJ; Godfather, Jim Canning and his wife Lori of Malden; Godmother, Alice Canning of Framingham; Aunt Barbara (Curley) Oden of Florida; and several nephews and a niece.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte.12), Sterling. Interment will be in Saint Anne's Cemetery, New Jersey. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445.
