PAXTON - Carol Ann (Bergstrom) St. Laurent, 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital from a short struggle with Covid-19. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of Arnold J. Jr., and Marion (Fozzy) Bergstrom and had lived in Marlboro before moving to Paxton twenty-five years ago.
She leaves her loving husband of 38 years, Pierre St. Laurent; her children, J. Scott McLean and his wife, Christie of Washougal, WA, Barry McLean and his wife, Lori of Holden, Sandy Farren and her husband, Michael of Lancaster, Sue McLean-Peris and her husband, Ron of Shrewsbury, Peter St. Laurent and his wife, Marybeth of Webster and Dennis St. Laurent and his wife, Angelia of Worcester; 17 grandchildren, Joshua, Doug, Abby-Kate, John, Jordan, Jamie, Paige, Sam, Jason, Anna, Katie, Daniel, Mackenzie, Ashley, Lydia, Lacey and Olivia; 13 great grandchildren, Skylar, Jayda, James, Finn, Luciano, Giana, Jacob, Landon, Jaxen, Aslynn, Ivy, Hazel and Everly; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Bergstrom; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Bergstrom; her sister, Patricia Smart; her grandson, J. Brett McLean; and her nephew, Douglas Smart.
Carol graduated from Brockton High School in 1952 and Massachusetts School of Physiotherapy in February 1953 with a certification in Radiology. She worked at Medfield State Hospital as an X Ray Tech for many years before retiring in 1991. Previously, she worked at Cushing Hospital and WSRO radio. She volunteered for many years for Why Me & Sherry's House sewing, knitting and quilting. She dutifully knitted and quilted caps and blankets for pediatric cancer patients (and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren) and their siblings. She was a devoted wife, mom, "grammie/gramma" and loved to be around her loving family. Carol enjoyed traveling, quilting, sewing and knitting. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and a diehard Tom Brady fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol's family on Saturday, March 6th from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, appropriate social distancing and wearing of a mask will be required.

Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery in Paxton.
