Boylston - Betty Lou (Ostberg) Wagner, 90, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, November 27, 2023. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Harry and Sally (Grochowski) Ostberg and grew up in Holden.
Betty Lou graduated from Holden High School with the class of 1950. She married the love of her life, the late Ralph O Wagner, Jr. and settled in Boylston, where they raised their sons and ran their family business, Wagner Bros Inc. Betty Lou's passions in life included watching Red Sox games, attending rock concerts and above all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved animals, especially cows, and enjoyed the company of her many cats over the years.
Betty Lou was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Ralph O Wagner, Jr. in 2005. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her children, Jeff Wagner of Boylston and his partner Kathleen Anderson, Kenneth Wagner of Boylston, James Wagner and his wife, Kelly of Boylston; her grandchildren, Paul Wagner Jr., John Wagner, Michelle Hamlett, and Julian Wagner; her great-grandchildren, Calvin, and Parker Hamlett; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Paul Wagner Sr., and her brothers, William, and Robert Ostberg.
