Althea M. Clark, 85, of Hubbardston, formerly a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025. She is the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Clark, Jr.
Althea was born in Melrose, the daughter of Frederick and Alice (Carroll) Grace. She worked for over 50 years for the New England Telephone Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Magdalen Group at the Tewksbury United Methodist Church, whom she affectionately referred to as "The Maggies".
Althea was a magnetic woman. Family, friends, and strangers alike would often be drawn to her warmth, and she would happily lend an ear. She gave all to her family and enjoyed spending time with her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her three children, Edward Clark III of Hubbardston, James Clark and his wife Robyn of Sanford, ME, and Patricia Doucette and her husband Michael of Hubbardston; her grandchildren, Ronald, Nicholas, and Maria Clark, and Jocelyn Doucette; her great grandchildren, Sienna, Bennett, and Rosie; and brother Fred Grace.
Althea is preceded in death by her granddaughter Krystal Clark, daughter-in-law Debra Clark, and siblings, Bill Webster, Robert Webster, Lorraine Washburn, and Dorothy Costigan.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 6th from 2 - 4 PM at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden. A brief prayer service will be held at 3 PM. Althea will be laid to rest with her late husband at a later date privately.
