Howard H. Levine Phd

WESTBOROUGH – Howard H. Levine, PhD, age 73, died peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Westborough Healthcare, after a long illness. Born in Worcester, Howard was the son of Sydney S. and Rita Jean (Scheyer) Levine.

A lifelong learner, Howard was a proud alumnus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he was an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He then earned a Master’s of Science in Physics from the University of Illinois, and Ph.D’s from Rutgers University in Physics, Experimental Solid State Physics, and Philosophy. His career included Sales Management for Hysitron, Inc, Fischer Technology Inc., and he was Principal at SemiConn Marketing and Sales. He was proud to have been a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at WPI, his alma mater.

Howard was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. He was also an excellent tennis player as well as a marathon runner. He had a lifelong passion for Heinz Ketchup, which he enjoyed with “everything”.

Howard will be lovingly missed and remembered by his sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Robbio and her husband, David of Salem; his brother, Alan C. Levine; his beloved nieces and nephews, Kalliopi Thanos of California, Douglas Zarkin of New York, Seth Zarkin of Arizona, Ross Levine of Newton, Massachusetts, Justin Levine of California; and his brother-in-law, Norman Zarkin of Florida. He was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl Zarkin.

Family will gather privately for a graveside service at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
