WORCESTER - Howard Cotton, aged 95, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Worcester. Born in Andover, he was the eldest son of Alberta and George Cotton.
Howard is survived by his children, Judy Moran and her husband, Steve Moran of Hebron, CT, Patty Cotton and her husband, John Raymond of Somersworth, NH and George Cotton and his wife, Lisa Wise of Grafton, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Nolan Cotton and his wife, Megan Cotton of Boston, Madeleine Cotton of Murrell’s Inlet, SC, and Ellen Cotton of Boston. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Peggy) Fox Cotton, and his brother, Alan Cotton.
Howard put his heart and soul into everything he did. He practiced dentistry in Brookline for 40 years and was beloved by his patients. Peggy was at his side running the administrative side of things. He was an avid sailor, skier, backpacker and always loved being outdoors. He believed in giving to others and volunteered his time and energy to many organizations throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Doubletree Westborough, 5400 Computer Dr., Westborough, MA 01581. There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to share stories and memories during a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in his memory, to their favorite charity. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
