Charles A. "Charlie" Steenbruggen

Rutland - Charles "Charlie" A. Steenbruggen, 75, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Friday, June 21, 2024. He was born in Boston, the beloved son of the late John G. and Marie (Geerts) Steenbruggen, and grew up in Newton Center.
Charlie graduated from Newton South High School and embarked on a fulfilling career as an auto mechanic, serving the Newton community for many years. Known for his infectious laugh and warm personality, Charlie was cherished by both his customers and colleagues alike. However, his greatest joy was found in the time spent with his family, a legacy that will be deeply cherished and missed.
Charlie leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Kathleen M. (Doherty) Steenbruggen; his son, John C. Steenbruggen and his wife, Cariann of Framingham; his daughter, Amy J. Moulton and her husband, Larry of Oakham; his brother, Gary Steenbruggen and his wife, Rhonda of Norton; his sister, Patricia Steenbruggen of Norton; his grandchildren, John, Zachary, and Samantha Steenbruggen, and Nicholas Moulton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
