STERLING – Russell C. Perry, Sr., 84, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital after a sudden illness.
His wife, Dorothy L. (Mann) Perry, passed away in 2003. He leaves son, Wayne Perry and his wife Carol of North Brookfield; two daughters, Elaine Mann and her husband Deane of Altoona, PA and Carla Caulk and her husband Kelly of Mays Landing, NJ; his dear and close friend, Jay Malboeuf of New Ipswich, NH; two brothers, Richard E. Perry and his wife Joan of Brooklyn, CT and Kenneth B. Perry and his wife Yvonne of Jacksonville, AL; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Russell was predeceased by a son, Russell C. Perry, Jr.
Russell was born in Clinton, the son of Brewer S. and Mabel E. (Buttrick) Perry and graduated from Leominster Trade School. He was an Army Corporal during the Korean Conflict. Russell was a tool and die maker at ITT Surprenant Company in Clinton for 20 years before he retired and was a gentleman farmer at home. He loved to dance and was a member of the Monoosnock Country Club in Leominster.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Saturday, April 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Sterling, Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564.
