Raymond B. Fife

April 13, 1940 — May 9, 2015

RUTLAND – Raymond B. Fife, Sr., 75, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Tufts-New England Medical Center after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of Gordon K. Sr. and Florence (Burgess) Fife and had lived in Worcester before moving to Rutland over twenty-five years ago.



He leaves his loving wife of 37 years, Janice B. (Benson) Bolduc Fife; a son, Raymond B. Fife, Jr. and his wife, Cookie of Millbury; a daughter, Donna M. Callahan and her husband, Bill of Tellico Plains, TN; three step-children, Armand and Carol Bolduc of Paxton, Raymond Bolduc and Ann Bolduc both of Worcester; a brother, Stanley Fife of Rutland; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Gordon Jr., Lloyd and George Fife and two sisters, Shirley Erickson and Madeline Fife.



Raymond was a steel worker for 39 years at KomTek Technologies in Worcester before retiring in 2002. After retiring, he worked at Kiessling Transit, Inc. as a bus driver for 10 years. He was a hard working family man who enjoyed playing cards and was an avid New England sports fan.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 15, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Mr. Fife will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 in the funeral home. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland Fire Brigade Rescue Fund, 240 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
