HOLDEN – Marian J. Klauzinski, 91, of Holden passed away peacefully after a brief illness. He was born in Lodz, Poland and was a survivor of the Auschwitz and Flossenberg concentration camps (1941-1945). Soon after WWII, he met and married his loving and devoted wife, Maria (Jan. 20, 1946).
Marian and Maria had a son, Richard, in 1947. In 1950 they came to the United States. They had two more sons, Henry and George. Henry passed away in 1988. Marian is survived by his wife, Maria, two sons, Richard and George, daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Carol Klauzinski, his grandchildren, Alice, Philip and Christopher Klauzinski, and his great-grandchildren, Dalton, Catherine and Luke Huckabee.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 9th at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson, MA 01522. In lieu of flowers, Maria asks that donations be made to St. Mary’s Church, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
