WORCESTER/HOLDEN – Dianne M. Stowell, 56, of Worcester, died Friday, January 30, 2009 in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness.
She leaves her daughter, Megan J. Stowell of Worcester; parents, Edwin A. and Bertha A. (Hall) Stowell; a sister, Dawn M. Clark of Worcester; four brothers, Brian E., and Bradford P., and J. Michael Stowell, all of Holden, and David T. Stowell of Norfolk; two nieces, Alisha J. Clark of Worcester and Nadine F. Stowell of West Boylston; two nephews, Brahe Stowell of Worcester and Erin J. Stowell of Holden. A brother, John Stowell predeceased her.
Dianne was born in Gardner and lived many years in Holden until moving to Worcester in 2003. She was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and worked as a caregiver for Mattson Community Services in Fitchburg for the last 7 years. Previously she worked in the Occupational Training Center, now Seven Hills for 15 years. She was a member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Church and did outreach ministry at the Wachusett Extended Care Facility in Holden. For the last 5 years, she was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Stephen's Church in Worcester.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 2nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Dianne will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522.
