Louie was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church serving as an altar boy, attending Sunday School, Youth Group, AANO and working at all the church festivals. When he was needed, he never said no. Louie could always be found either in the kitchen or at the shish-ka-bab pit. He was hard-working, quick with a smile and had a huge heart.
Louie was born in Istanbul, Turkey, immigrated to the United States with his parents, Thomas and Anna (Mitrus) Boyatzi, and settled in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Doherty High School and Assumption College. He spent most of his career working in the food industry. He started working as a young teenager at the Broadway restaurant, then worked with his family at the Millbury Street Sandwich Shop and Boyatzi’s at Holden Hills, Sofie Serves & Boyatzi Catering and finally at P & D Pizza.
Louie had a great passion for dogs. He owned championship Golden Retrievers and Brittany Spaniels and he fostered dogs as well. He was a member of the Yankee Golden Retriever Club and a longtime member of the Central New England Brittany Club. Louie was a certified hunt test judge and volunteered countless hours with the Brittany Club. Louie’s great wit, wonderful laugh and compassionate soul will be sorely missed.

Mark Doku officiating. Burial will follow immediately in Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 5-7 pm on Monday, August 23rd at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
