HOLDEN – Susan J. (Kivisto) Mulry of Holden, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 in UMass Memorial Hospital, after being diagnosed with cancer in November of 2006.
She leaves her husband of 42 years, Laurence J. Mulry; two sons, Michael J. Mulry of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Stephen L. Mulry of Holden; a daughter, Lynne M. Whittaker and her husband Timothy of Dudley; a brother, Jay Kivisto of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a sister, Sandra White of Worcester; a grandchild, Emily Susan Whittaker; two step-grandchildren, Timothy and Tiffanie Whittaker; many nephews, nieces and friends. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Jorma A. and Gertrude (Mantere) Kivisto, and has lived in Holden since 1968.
Mrs. Mulry was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. She was the office manager for Dr. Neil Cannon in Holden for whom she worked for over 10 years. Previously, she worked for Dea Fraser Insurance in Holden.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 8th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mrs. Mulry will be held from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9th, in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
